Healing Power in Foods that We Eat

From Therapeutic Value of Juice Diet here comes Healing Power in the Foods that We Eat This article is aimed at improving the health status of you by equipping you with the necessary information in as far as over eating habits and general healthy living is concerned. When he created us, God knew not only the quality but the right quantity of food that man must eat in order to live a healthy life. Many people believe that whenever you fall sick, it is as a result of some pathogens or germs which find their way into the bloodstream. The truth is that there are many diseases which are a result of our relationship with nature. To the ancient, disease were as a result of influence of evil spirits. Their treatment was to be in harmony with their beliefs.Later on, scientists explained disease as an attack by germs via air, water, clothes or insects. Disease is an effort by nature to free the system from conditions that result from our violation of the laws of health as originally

Therapeutic Value of Juice Diet

A number of persons occasionally inquired whether vegetables, fruits or juices have beneficial effects on sexual life. In Kenya, sexual life is shy and reserved and no methodical sex education is imparted, hence, this simple, natural activity is believed to be complex. Yet, many frightened people or those enticed by alluring advertisement run after medicines in order to acquire or increase sexual ability. As a matter of fact, NO medicinal herb or calyx can improve sexual ability. These medicines perhaps bring a temporary sensual excitement, but in the long run they greatly damage the body. These drugs produce malefic heat in the body. Moreover, their consumption causes skin diseases and abdominal pain. Despite this, the manufacturers of such drugs make a fortune out of the ignorance or anxiety of people. Some present doctors too prescribe synthetic hormones for the treatment of sexual weakness. These doctors take advantage of people’s eagerness for regaining their lost

How to start breeding dogs for business

One of the most promising home-based business you can do at present is dog breeding as many pet lovers demand rare and quality breeds in Kenya and all over the world. Recently, I met a businessman who is into it. When he started breeding dogs for sale, he did not set out to make thousands of dollars in profit. He wanted to do something he enjoyed that would pay his bills. But some few years down the line, he is all smiles as he counts the fortunes from his business, thanks to the growing pet culture. But how do you start a dog breeding business? Do you just buy a male and female dog, let them mate and then sell the puppies? This is what I found out from the businessman, hopefully, these information can help you get started into dog breeding business. The requirements are as follows: #1    Generally , you must love dogs.  If they seem beastly to you then you have no right to do business with man’s best friend. It is also important to note that dogs have that “scent” which sh

Living with internet explorer, Firefox and Chrome

For more than five years, I have sung the praises of Firefox, going so far as recommending it to all in my friends and colleagues. I have been using Firefox and, more recently, Google's Chrome almost exclusively.  Last week, this changed because Microsoft come up with great new stuff! this, I could not believe.' Microsoft released Internet explorer 9 (beta) last week with heavily readjusted user interface and a number of enhancement. After trying it for a few days, I have to admit that I was impressed. I was so impressed that I've continued to use it, from time to time, even when I don't have to. Let me not bore you with a recitation of the Internet explorer 9's list of new features.  Instead, let me point out what I think shines in IE 9 and what still leaves me cold. Psst :) For those still using Win XP Operating system and below; sorry, it's true that Internet Explorer 9 will not run on these old operating systems. Tear-away tabs: Although Microsoft v

A banana a day keeps the doctor away

With calls for Kenyans to stop ' kurega rega na kukula pombe ' President Kibaki (himself a recently recovered alcoholic) signed the Alcoholic Drinks control Bill into law. Reversing a 30 year ban on brewing and consumption of traditional liquor. Not that I love my 'pilsner' more, but I believe that to win the war against alcoholism is not about laws; although it helps but  It is all about behaviour change. No wonder the Bible says it all, " Do not gaze at wine when it is red ....in the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper ". Despite the caution, I expect in the coming years Kenyans will be more hangover'd than ever before. So what makes banana the quickest remedy for your hangover ? Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout.  N

How farmers can double their bean yield production

"As Jack slept, the beans germinated in the soil, and by morning a big beanstalk grew in their place. When Jack saw the great beanstalk, he immediately decided to climb..." This is a classic scenario of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' fairy tale. The same is true for Kenya's bean variety that climbs and spreads on sticks producing double the yield of local varieties. Due to subdivision of land in Kenya, farmers are not able to produce enough beans to feed the 38.6 million people living in Kenya. This is mainly due to shrinking land sizes. This is the reason why high yielding varieties of beans that only need a small area to grow has been developed. These new varieties of beans require support with stakes (sticks) to climb on when they are growing. The beans can grow up to a height of 3.5 meters. The long stems of this variety of beans enable it to produce more pods as compared to the normal bean varieties (bush bean).   With good management climbing beans can pro
